Man Utd predicted XI for Crystal Palace clash as thumping Barnsley win provides huge clue

According to the Mirror, Manchester United’s expected starting lineup is as follows: Onana, Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martinez, Dalot; Ugarte, Mainoo; Garnacho, Fernandes, Amad; Rashford.

After entering into the international break on the heels of successive defeats to Brighton and Liverpool, United have emerged from the break with two wins in which there were 10 goals scored and none surrendered.

Erik ten Hag will aim to top off a superb week when Manchester United travel to Crystal Palace on Saturday evening.

Following successive defeats to Brighton and Liverpool, United returned from the international break with two victories, ten goals scored and none surrendered.

The Dutchman has had a fantastic few days, with Southampton losing 3-0 on the south coast in the Premier League and Barnsley being thrashed 7-0 in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, with morale-boosting goals from Marcus Rashford and Antony.

Ten Hag also used the game to give midfielder Manuel Ugarte his first start since joining from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, with the Uruguayan clocking little over an hour after coming off the bench at St Mary’s.

Ugarte should now make his Premier League debut for his new team against Selhurst Park, while Ten Hag may also rely on Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho’s confidence in front of goal, both of whom scored braces in midweek.

Rashford started the match against Barnsley as a centre forward, and Ten Hag will want him to ride the crest of a wave into the game against the Eagles. He might start in attack ahead of Joshua Zirkzee, while Rasmus Hojlund hopes to be on the bench after returning to training.

Having those two available in reserve might be important for Ten Hag as he attempts to expand his options, although Antony will be hoping for a start following his penalty against Barnsley, Amad Diallo continues to perform well enough to be selected on the right side.

With Ugarte partnering Kobbie Mainoo in the center, United’s first-choice defense is taking shape, with summer signings Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui returning to the starting lineup in south London.
