Remarkable reports indicate that Manchester United intends to sign five free agents during the summer season.
Ayden Heaven and Patrick Dorgu were both acquired by Ruben Amorim during the January transfer window, which allowed him to strengthen his team overall.
Heaven was brought in from Arsenal, while Dorgu was acquired by Manchester United from Lecce in a deal that was worth thirty million pounds.
During the summer, when the transfer window will once again be open, Amorim intends to make additional additions to his team.
And according to a Spanish publication called Fichajes, Manchester United is reportedly in possession of five free agents who could assist Amorim in constructing an outstanding team.
According to the report, Manchester United is looking to strengthen their squad without making significant financial investments. They have their sights set on Jonathan David, Leroy Sane, Jonathan Tah, Angel Gomes, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin as potential target players.
At the same time that the Manchester United board is’studying the best strategy’ to strengthen their squad in preparation for the 2025/26 season, all five players will have their contracts expire in the summer.
David, who is 25 years old, has had a fruitful time in France, where he has scored a number of goals for Lille that have been more than impressive.
The forward from Canada has scored 104 goals for Lille since the beginning of the season, and he has scored 20 goals across all competitions that Lille has participated in.
He is not the only forward that is reportedly on the transfer wish list of Manchester United; Calvert-Lewin is also being considered in advance of a possible transfer that could take place.
Calvert-Lewin, who is 27 years old, has had a difficult time maintaining consistency at Everton, but he scored 16 goals in the league during the 2020/21 season.
An additional player that Manchester United is keeping an eye on is Leroy Sane, who has previously competed in the Premier League with Manchester City.
Since moving back to Germany, Sane, who is 29 years old, has participated in more than 200 matches for Bayern Munich.
Due to the fact that Gomes graduated from the renowned youth academy of Old Trafford, there have been rumours that he could be returning to the club.
Although he has only played a few minutes for Manchester United, the 24-year-old has established a name for himself with Lille.
Tah, a defender who won the Bundesliga, is the final player on the list of free agents. He would be an ideal complement to Amorim’s system, due to the fact that he played in a back three while playing for Bayer Leverkusen.
After spending the previous summer at Leverkusen, Tah, who is now 28 years old, was heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich.
There is a possibility that Manchester United will employ the strategy of exploring free agents in order to rebuild the team without jeopardising its financial stability.
