It has been reported that Manchester United are interested in signing a former Manchester City player who was ‘fast-tracked’ by Pep Guardiola due to his exceptional performance.
To this point, United’s campaign has been one to forget, as they have been unable to build upon their FA Cup victory from the previous season, which was led by Erik ten Hag.
Although Ruben Amorim, a Portuguese player, took over for the Dutchman Ten Hag in November, the Portuguese player has had a difficult time fully implementing his playing style.
United is currently in thirteenth place in the Premier League table, 33 points behind Liverpool, who are currently in first place.
On the other hand, if the Red Devils are successful in winning the Europa League this season, they will have the opportunity to qualify for the Champions League. After that, Amorim’s team will face Lyon, a French team, in the quarterfinals of the competition.
Looking ahead to the summer, it has been reported that Manchester United are reportedly showing interest in Felix Nmecha, who is a star player for Borussia Dortmund.
A’sudden move’ has been made by United in order to acquire the 24-year-old player, as reported by the Daily Mail.
United are reportedly interested in making a summer transfer for Nmecha, who is estimated to be worth approximately forty million pounds, according to the German news outlet BILD.
On the other hand, it has been speculated that Dortmund will be hesitant to part ways with the German midfielder because they consider Nmecha to be an essential component of their future.
After working his way up through the ranks at City, Nmecha was called up to the squad by Pep Guardiola for the Champions League match that the Blues were playing against Hoffenheim.
Twenty-one days later, Nmecha made his debut with the first team when he was substituted in during City’s 2-1 victory over Burton Albion in the English Football League Club.
Nmecha signed a contract with Dortmund that was for a period of five years during the summer of 2023.
Since then, the midfielder has played for the club a total of 56 times, during which time he has scored five goals.
A total of five Germany caps have been earned by Nmecha so far, and he has scored one goal while representing Germany on the international stage.
An injury prevented Julian Nagelsmann from selecting Nmecha for Germany’s match against Italy in the quarterfinals of the Nations League, which is scheduled to take place this week.
