Man Utd make Ruben Amorim sack decision after Europa League final heartbreak vs Spurs

Following their heartbreaking loss to Spurs in the Europa League final, Manchester United decided to fire Ruben Amorim.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe, a co-owner of Manchester United, has decided what to do with Ruben Amorim.

Following their defeat in the Europa League final, Manchester United has taken a decision about Ruben Amorim’s future.

United lost 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final on Wednesday night, possibly their worst loss of the depressing season.

Both teams’ supporters understood going into the game that victory would guarantee them a spot in the Champions League the next season, while losing might have disastrous long-term repercussions.

Both United manager Amorim and Spurs manager Ange Postecoglu were under pressure, and if they didn’t win the Europa League title, they might lose their jobs.

Additionally, United has decided on Amorim’s future in light of the outcome.

Nobody would be surprised if United opted to fire Amorim at the conclusion of the season after finishing the Premier League in 16th or 17th place and losing all of the cup competitions.

But according to a report published by The Times prior to the match, United made the decision to remain with Amorim regardless of the outcome at San Mames Stadium in Bilbao.

According to the report, Amorim’s employment is completely secure and he will be back in the United dugout the next season unless he decides to leave.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the chairman of INEOS and a co-owner of United, is said to hold Amorim in such high regard that he would try to dissuade him from leaving even if he decided to do so in the summer.

Amorim has lost 13 league games, drawn six, and won just six since taking over in November. This season has been the team’s poorest since the Premier League began in 1992.

In their final game of the season, United hosts Aston Villa at Old Trafford. If they lose, they will complete the season with 39 points, which would be enough to drop them in three Premier League seasons.
