Despite signing Benjamin Sesko, Manchester United wants to continue their summer business in a big way.
David Ornstein broke the news that Manchester United had contacted them in an attempt to make another great summer acquisition.
United is attempting to recruit RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko for a sum of £74 million after concluding agreements for Bryan Mbeumo, Diego Leon, and Matheus Cunha. Sesko has agreed to personal terms for a possible five-year contract.
However, United wants to further bolster their team, particularly in the No. 6 midfield position, while those last discussions are going on with the Newcastle United target.
Ornstein of The Athletic claims that United has begun discussions with Brighton about the prospect of signing 21-year-old midfielder Carlos Baleba through middlemen.
Although Manchester City and Liverpool have previously been connected to the Cameroonian, United is currently investigating the terms of what would be a significant transfer.
Baleba has three years left on his contract at the AMEX Stadium, and Brighton does not want to let him go.
But since there aren’t many possibilities in that section of the pitch, United is quite intrigued, and many of its supporters are understandably thrilled by the news.
“Wait what, where is all this money coming from?” was the comment made by a fan on X.
Someone else just wrote: “WHAT???!!!”
According to a third, “We could actually win the league.”
“How are we going pull this?!!” added a fourth. If this occurs, the transfer window will be insane.

How much will Baleba cost Manchester United?
For £26 million, Brighton acquired Baleba from Lille, and they would be eligible to receive 20% of any subsequent transfer fees beyond the amount they sold him for.
In recent seasons, the Seagulls have been used to selling their best players for enormous sums of money; earlier this summer, Joao Pedro moved to Chelsea for £60 million.
Following the departure of Marc Cucurella and Moises Caicedo, Brighton’s record-breaking £115 million sale, the Brazilian completed a trio of high-profile arrivals to go from the Seaside club to Stamford Bridge.
According to a source from L’Equipe, City enquired about Baleba during the January transfer window, and the price that was mentioned was £104 million.
Ruben Amorim is said to have “made the midfielder one of the pillars of his future project,” despite the fact that Liverpool and Arsenal are also touted as potential bidders.
