Man Utd legend savages ‘worst in our history’ Ten Hag side, who are ‘a million miles’ from success

Manchester United icon Dwight Yorke has criticised the current team as the “worst in our history” within the Premier League, asserting that they are “a million miles away” from achieving league triumph under Erik ten Hag.

United opened the season with two victories and two defeats from four matches. This positions them 10th in the standings, two places worse than their previous season’s conclusion, which was their poorest performance in Premier League history.

This is Ten Hag’s third season in charge, and according to Yorke, there has been no advancement towards securing the league title, with the team currently in its most precarious state ever.

“We are exceedingly distant from securing the Premier League title.” Regarding the current manager, Yorke stated, “This was an individual poised to advance us, and we believed after the inaugural season that he was the right choice,” during a live broadcast on beIN Sports.

“While we have succeeded in winning the FA Cup, our performance regarding playing style, final standings, and goals conceded represents the lowest point in our history since the inception of the Premier League in 1992.”

Discussions around Ten Hag’s potential dismissal persist.
Ten Hag has been rumoured to be dismissed several times throughout his stay at United. Prior to the FA Cup victory last season, the allegations were pronounced, nevertheless the trophy appeared to suffice in preserving his position.

There are divergent views on his continued employment at this time.

Rafael van der Vaart has asserted that the football is “not significantly improving” with Ten Hag’s recent acquisitions, and he requires “numerous victories” to endure.

Clinton Morrison has expressed that he “would be surprised” if a dismissal occurred in the near future, as the management need time for his new acquisitions to integrate effectively.

Manchester United is strategising further acquisitions.
Ten Hag aspires to secure further additions for United after a lacklustre commencement to the season.

A notable individual is the freshly capped England midfielder Angel Gomes.

He is also under consideration by several other prominent Premier League clubs.

Concurrently, United continues to be associated with free agency midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Connections to him persist, despite recent rumours indicating that his salary is excessively exorbitant for the Red Devils to contemplate the acquisition.

Yorke suggested that Ten Hag’s methods had placed Manchester United in a precarious position, drawing a comparison to prior managers.

There is little distinction when compared to the last permanent United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. In 119 matches to date, Ten Hag’s United have secured 70 victories, 15 draws, and 34 defeats.

This results in an average of 1.89 points per match. His predecessor oversaw 168 matches for the Red Devils, with 92 victories, 35 draws, and 41 defeats, with an average of 1.85 points per match.

In comparison to his predecessor, Jose Mourinho, Ten Hag is, in fact, inferior.

The current Fenerbahce manager has achieved 84 victories, 31 draws, and 29 defeats in 144 matches. He earned 1.97 points per match, surpassing Ten Hag’s record by 0.08 points.

Mourinho secured an equal number of titles as Ten Hag has achieved to yet, however he was terminated, whilst the Dutchman remains in his position and appears to have the support of Sir Jim Ratcliffe thus far.
