Man Utd have ‘slashed’ their asking price for Alejandro Garnacho just months after rejecting offers of over £50 million for him

It has been claimed that Manchester United has’slashed’ the fee that they are demanding for the talented winger Alejandro Garnacho.

Garnacho, who is twenty years old, has had a difficult time securing a starting position at United this season. It appears that he does not fit into Ruben Amorim’s preferred 3-4-3 system, despite the fact that he did score during the Red Devils’ 4-1 loss to Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday.

The 20-year-old player has made 49 appearances during the 2024/25 season, during which he has scored 10 goals and assisted on eight others. Despite this, he has been extensively linked with a possible move away from the Premier League side.

In January, it was claimed that Napoli made a proposal that was somewhere in the neighbourhood of forty million pounds, but United turned it down. It has been claimed that Manchester United has’slashed’ the fee that they are demanding for the talented winger Alejandro Garnacho.

In January, it was claimed that Napoli made a proposal that was somewhere in the neighbourhood of forty million pounds, but United turned it down.

In addition, despite the fact that United declined the offer made by the Serie A club, it has just come to light that the club has apparently reduced the amount that they are demanding for the winger.

It is reported by Tutto Mercato that the Red Devils have reconsidered their assessment of the value of Garnacho. An explanation is provided by the publication regarding how United would now accept a deal of €45 million (£34.2 million) if another club presented such an offer.

The present contract of the winger is scheduled to expire in the summer of 2028, and it is not obvious whether or not he would be prepared to step down from his position at United this summer.

Many people believed that Garnacho’s career was over when he and Marcus Rashford were left out of the match day squad for the Manchester derby in December. This was a sign that Amorim had seemingly established himself as a member of the club in his first two months of involvement with the organisation.

Despite this, the head coach of United stated that the answer coming from the twenty-year-old player was “really good.”

In addition, Rio Ferdinand, a former centre defender for Manchester United, discussed what he would do if he were in Garnacho’s position during his appearance on ‘Rio Ferdinand Presents’ the previous week.

In his words, “I am advising Garnacho, and I am telling him to go to Napoli,” Ferdinand informed Garnacho.

In my opinion, it would be ideal for him to play left flank for Napoli, and for Osimhen to play the opposite position.

“Garnacho, if we had a manager who does not play with wingers and we did not have Amorim as the manager, I would not be selling Garnacho. He is someone I like, and I adore.

“Garnacho may not be in the finest shape right now, but I adore him. I adore his nerve and his balls, and I adore the fact that he possesses the confidence and hubris to aspire to be the best. On the other hand, the manager’s preferred strategy is not one that he is comfortable with.
