Victor Osimhen took to social media after Manchester United target Viktor Gyokeres allegedly turned down a move to Old Trafford.
Manchester United fans noticed what Victor Osimhen tweeted on social media just hours after the news broke about Viktor Gyokeres’ future.
Manchester United are looking for a new No. 9 to replace Rasmus Hojlund, who struggled last season.
Hojlund, who joined Manchester United for £72 million from Atalanta in the summer of 2023, has scored just 10 goals in all competitions, including four in the Premier League.
Several forwards have been connected with a move to Old Trafford, including Napoli’s Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, and Sporting CP’s Gyokeres, who played for Ruben Amorim before leaving.
However, it looks that Gyokeres is interested in joining Arsenal, who are also looking for a new No.9 for the 2025/26 season.
Fabrizio Romano reports Gyokeres’ priority is to join Mikel Arteta’s team.
The Gunners attempted to recruit the Swedish international, submitting a formal proposal for the star forward, which was quickly rejected by Sporting CP.
Man United, meanwhile, may have to go elsewhere, with Gyokeres apparently stating his intentions over his next move.
Amorim could focus his attention on Osimhen.
Ahead of a potential offer, Manchester United fans saw what Osimhen stated on social media following Gyokeres’ decision to refuse a reunion with Amorim.
Osimhen published a photo of himself on social media, which piqued the interest of Manchester United supporters.

However, other supporters alleged he was ‘aura farming’.
Man United fan @UTDTrey wrote, “My striker,” with a heart emoji.
A second said: “Come to Manchester United, king.”
A rival fan responded, “Aura farmer.”
Osimhen scored an incredible 37 goals for Galatasaray across all competitions last season.
He was also a successful Serie A scorer, with 65 goals in 108 league games.
