Following Casemiro’s actions when he was substituted out against Athletic Club, Manchester United supporters have been responding on social media.
Casemiro started for Ruben Amorim’s team on Thursday night as they guaranteed their spot in the Europa League final.
Mason Mount’s brace, along with goals from Casemiro and Rasmus Hojlund, helped United win 4-1 at Old Trafford, where they were already ahead 3-0 from the first leg.
They will therefore face Tottenham Hotspur in the final, which is scheduled for May 21 at the San Mames in Bilbao.
Brazilian midfielder Casemiro was replaced with 81 minutes remaining in the game at Old Trafford, and teenage player Kobbie Mainoo took his place.

As he left the field to be replaced by Mainoo, Casemiro gave manager Amorim a passionate embrace, as shown in the video that was circulated on social media.
One fan commented on the embrace, saying, “That’s not something you see every day…. love that.”
The tweet from another said, “This gave me so much life.”
Another fan commented, “It’s been a long time since we’ve seen togetherness within this United Squad, and I’m loving it!”
“Gets me gassed,” another person wrote. He has performed admirably for the past two months or so. I think he’s the kind of player that could retire here because I f***ing love his passion.”

Casemiro has seen an improvement in form in recent months after initially finding it difficult to maintain a spot in the United starting lineup after Amorim’s arrival.
