Immediately following the defeat of Manchester United by Nottingham Forest, supporters of the Red Devils have taken to various social media platforms to express their dissatisfaction.
In the wake of their victory over Leicester City prior to the international break, United made their way to the City Ground on Tuesday evening with the intention of winning consecutive Premier League matches based on their previous victory.
The visitors, on the other hand, got off to a terrible start after former player Anthony Elanga scored a brilliant individual goal within the first five minutes of the game, making the score in their favour.
Before putting the ball into the bottom corner, the Swedish international player sidestepped Alejandro Garnacho’s challenge and shot the ball into the target.
United huffed and puffed as they attempted to find an equaliser in the second half of the match; however, they were met with a resolute Forest defence.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s team eventually managed to hold on for a crucial victory by a score of 1-0.
The performance of Patrick Dorgu, who joined the club in January, was met with disapproval from United supporters, who expressed their dissatisfaction publicly on social media.
As one of the fans put it, “Dorgu has been a complete and utter disappointment for me so far.” There is hardly any danger going forward, with the exception of the fact that they have a left foot.
A different individual tweeted: “I like Dorgu but he’s been abysmal today especially passing wise.”
A third fan added the following: “Never thought these words would be muttered by me…..but Dalot has offered more than what Dorgu has.”
Another person wrote, “No one will ever gaslight me into believing that Dorgu is good.” No one will ever believe me.
A fifth individual made the observation: “If Dorgu is Amorim’s signing then he’s very stupid, what did he see exactly?”
