Man Utd fans demand four players are sold immediately after losing Europa League final

Manchester United lost the all-English match against Spurs in the Europa League final in Bilbao.

After losing to Spurs in the Europa League final, Manchester United fans shouted about the players they wanted sold.

The two teams faced off in the final of UEFA’s secondary club competition, where Champions League qualifying was up for grabs, despite their dismal domestic campaigns, which saw them finish 16th and 17th in the Premier League.

After Brennan Johnson scored the game’s lone goal near the end of the first half, Spurs defeated United for the fourth time this season in a wild and gritty match at San Mames in Bilbao.

Spurs’ 17-year trophy drought has come to an end with the hard-fought victory, and Ange Postecoglou fulfilled his pledge to win a trophy in his second season.

United lost for the first time this season in the Europa League after a terribly dismal performance on the big stage.

Additionally, a lot of United supporters complained about four players who they felt should be let go in the summer due to their lack of skill.

Along with Luke Shaw, who failed to react quickly enough to Johnson’s winning goal, goalkeeper Andre Onana has been heavily lambasted during the season for a string of costly mistakes.

One fan raged on X: “Shaw and Onana should be sold and never play for this club again.”

“Onana needs to be sold in the summer,” wrote another, echoing the sentiments. Unable to command his defence! Horrible.

Additionally, many were calling for Mason Mount to be moved on after failing to make an impression, despite his valiant efforts in the semifinal.

“We need to get rid of Mount man I’ve tried,” one commenter said.

His performance was described as “shockingly bad” by a second person.

Finally, after Rasmus Hojlund, a £72 million striker, appeared utterly unprepared to lead the line in the final, supporters once more called for the experiment to cease.

After Hojlund and other teammates underperformed, one user wrote: “If we’re serious about a solid rebuild next season, players like Shaw, Maguire, Onana, and Hojlund should be sold, even for peanuts.” Hojlund was easily marshalled by Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.

Hojlund “should never have another game in a United kit and should be sold asap,” according to a follow-up.
