Manchester United may have inadvertently dropped a significant transfer clue when they unveiled their 2025/26 home kit on Thursday (June 12).
Manchester United made their new home kit available for purchase from 9 a.m. on Thursday.
The jersey pays homage to the club’s home stadium, Old Trafford, with the words “Theatre of Dreams” written above the neckline.
Along with fans expressing their opinions on the kit’s design (which you can purchase here), some noticed a tiny transfer hint.
Several players, including captain Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, and Mason Mount, were visible in a promotional film, but another player’s appearance in the campaign led some supporters to believe he is “staying” with the club.

Despite recent allegations tying midfielder Kobbie Mainoo with a move away from United, he participated in the promotional campaign.
In March, the Guardian reported that United might be willing to sell the player for roughly £70 million because the England international may “seek a move abroad”.
However, journalist Fabrizio Romano wrote in May that “there are currently no concrete conversations taking place. The situation has been silent. Let’s see if bids arrive this summer.”
Mainoo, 20, was previously linked with a move to Chelsea, but interest appears to have cooled.
The Stockport-born midfielder had a fantastic 2023/24 season, scoring in United’s FA Cup final victory against rivals Manchester City and playing at Euro 2024.
However, in 2024/25, the 20-year-old battled to remain healthy, making only 25 Premier League appearances with no goals or assists.
Amorim insisted that the club “help” Mainoo back in April.
“We need to help him,” Amorim remarked. “We need to find a little bit, like Casemiro is playing better right now because we understand how he can play, and I believe we can do the same with Kobbie because he has a lot of characteristics.
“He’s quite talented with the ball. But he’s also very good near the opponent’s box, so we’ll attempt to balance everything, to find the proper area for a guy like Kobbie.”
He went on to say, “I think that is also part of the problem [that he has accomplished so much so young].” When I look at Kobbie Mainoo, I see a lot of talent, but I also see some areas where he needs to grow.
Mainoo’s contract with United runs until June 2027.
