After missing out on Viktor Gyokeres, Manchester United is looking at another striker.
Manchester United are ratcheting up their interest in another striker after appearing to concede defeat in the Viktor Gyokeres transfer drama.
Man United has signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves for the upcoming season and is interested in signing Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.
Ruben Amorim is also looking for a new No.9 after the form of Rasmus Hojlund, who scored only four Premier League goals last season.
Gyokeres came on Amorim’s radar when they played together at Sporting CP.
The Swedish forward, on the other hand, is said to be close to joining Arsenal, after making a radical decision to leave Portugal.
But Ollie Watkins has surfaced as a Manchester United target, with the Aston Villa player expressing his thoughts on a possible move to Old Trafford.
According to the Mirror, Manchester United are increasing their interest in Watkins after losing out on Gyokeres.

According to the source, Manchester United have held preliminary conversations with Villa about signing Watkins, who became dissatisfied last season after dropping down the pecking order.
Villa would demand roughly £60 million for the 29-year-old, but Manchester United are unwilling to pay that much due to his age and lack of resale value.
Watkins has three years left on his current contract.
Manchester United were eager to provide Marcus Rashford as part of a swap deal for Watkins, but Villa declined to sign the Red Devils forward after his loan term.
It is also stated that Manchester United’s inability to provide European football may be an impediment.
Amorim’s side ended 15th in the league table and failed to qualify for the Champions League via the Europa League, losing 1-0 to Tottenham in the final.
Watkins, meanwhile, has been with Villa since the summer of 2020, when he joined from Brentford for £28 million.
He’s scored 87 goals in 223 games across all competitions.
