Man Utd could finally land new striker signing in genius swap deal involving Jadon Sancho

Details of a surprise trade involving Jadon Sancho have surfaced, suggesting that Manchester United may finally get a new striker.

According to a number of reports since the 2024–25 season ended, United is hoping to replace the unimpressive Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund with a new striker during the summer transfer window.

Matheus Cunha, a former Wolverhampton Wanderers star, reportedly paid £62.5 million to join United in early June, although it’s generally assumed that Ruben Amorim may employ him elsewhere in his assault.

Hugo Ekitike, Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Viktor Gyokeres have all been linked to a move to Old Trafford; United has not yet made an effort to acquire a top striker.

However, United may be willing to make Sancho an offer as part of a deal for the player now that they have been connected to a new name.

Serie A powerhouse Juventus has reportedly offered striker Dusan Vlahovic to United as a solution to their upfront problems, according a recent report by transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano.

With only one year remaining on his contract, the Italian club is eager to let go of the 25-year-old, who is no longer considered a significant player. United is seen to be the ideal destination for him.

Sancho is not currently thought to be directly involved in any possible deal for Vlahovic, but given the Englishman’s recent connections to Juventus, United may choose to include him in talks if they decide to pursue Vlahovic.

Juventus reportedly made a bid of €10 million plus €5 million in bonuses for Sancho, who they consider to be one of their top targets this summer, according to a report by Gianluca Di Marzio.

However, the source also implied that United is seeking to acquire the winger for about £25 million instead.

In order to close the difference between the two clubs’ valuations for Sancho, a deal involving Vlahovic would enable United to acquire Sancho at a possible reduced cost.

Romano subsequently disclosed that although United is aware of the prospect of signing the Serbian international, they are not yet prepared to start talks because they intend to concentrate only on a deal for Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford.
