Man Utd, Chelsea among host of Premier League clubs tracking left-back dazzling in Holland

David Moller Wolfe, a left-back who now plays for AZ Alkmaar and Norway, is being pursued by a number of Premier League teams, including Manchester United and Chelsea, according to information that TEAMtalk has obtained.

Within the past 18 months, Wolfe has made a name for himself both for his club and for his nation. As a result of his impressive achievements, a multitude of elite teams across Europe’s five most prominent leagues have taken notice of him.

Since making his debut with the Norway team in November of last year, the 22-year-old has established himself as a regular member of the team. He has made ten appearances in the Eredivisie and Europa League so far this season, recording two assists over the course of those two competitions.

Wolfe began his professional career with Bergen Nord, where he was a member of the senior squad in 2017, 2018, and 2019. In the summer of 2019, he moved on to the junior team of SK Brann.

In the year 2020, the defender was loaned out to Asane for the entirety of the season. However, a year later, he signed a three-year contract with Brann and actually made his debut as a left winger.

Wolfe signed a deal with AZ in the summer of 2023, and he is currently under contract with the Dutch team until the year 2028. He had previously impressed at Brann. They are, however, getting ready for the possibility that there will be interest in the defender in the not too distant future.

Two players from the Premier League Considering the difficulties they have had in left back positions, Manchester United and Chelsea are keeping an eye on the Norwegian player in an effort to improve their possibilities in that position.

Left-back positions are up for grabs at Manchester United and Chelsea.
The left-back position has been a difficult one for Manchester United owing to the constant injury difficulties that have plagued the team. Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have both been sidelined for extended periods of time each.

Since the beginning of the season, Diogo Dalot has been playing left back rather than his usual position of right back. United is looking to add a natural left back to their back four, and they have utilized Dalot in this capacity.

Despite the fact that Real Madrid is still said to be interested in Alphonso Davies, transfer source Fabrizio Romano has provided a significant update on their interest in the Bayern Munich player.

Considering that England international Ben Chilwell is now not in the lineup at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea is also trying to strengthen their left-back position.

It is anticipated that Chilwell will depart Chelsea during the transfer window in January. This is due to the fact that he has been excluded from the first-team picture under the leadership of Enzo Maresca.

If Chilwell does wind up leaving Chelsea in the New Year, Maresca would be eager to bring in another lively left-back, one who brings both defensive and offensive balance to his Chelsea side. This would be true if Chilwell ultimately decides to go.
