Man Utd can now sign 4-time Premier League winner to replace £40m star – Report

Manchester United now has the opportunity to acquire a player who has won the Premier League four times, in order to replace their £40 million hero. Document
The Telegraph reports that Chelsea is exploring the possibility of a swap deal with Manchester United before the closure of the transfer season on Friday.

The Blues have shown their interest in acquiring Jadon Sancho from the Red Devils, however, they are inclined towards a part-exchange agreement in order to lower the current price of £40 million.

The London-based football club is willing to incorporate Raheem Sterling as a component of the transfer, however it remains uncertain whether Manchester United would express any interest in acquiring him.

Sancho and Sterling are currently earning £250,000 and £325,000 per week respectively as their base salaries.

A swap transfer would require both players to agree to significant salary reductions or for the clubs to provide compensation in the form of financial settlements.

It is advisable for United to refrain from acquiring Sterling in exchange for Sancho.
Sancho has been excluded from the matchday squad for the initial two games of the Premier League season.

He was absent from the opening performance against Fulham due to a mild ear infection. The 24-year-old accompanied the team for the Brighton & Hove Albion game, but was not included in the roster for the contest.

Evidently, United are making preparations for his departure. The hierarchy likely wishes to prevent him from sustaining any injuries, which could explain his absence since his brief appearance in the Community Shield.

Similar to United, Chelsea intends to sell Sterling and is seeking to include him as part of the transfer deal. Nevertheless, this would not be advantageous for the Red Devils from a business perspective.

Sterling, a four-time Premier League champion, will reach the age of 30 in December and appears to be beyond his peak performance level. In addition, he competed for Manchester City, the main competitors of United.

This may not be well received by the club’s loyal supporters. Ben Chilwell is a potential choice, but United should also disregard him as a left-back due to his injury history at Chelsea.

An optimal resolution would entail either a permanent transfer or a loan arrangement accompanied by a mandatory purchase commitment. Considering Juventus’ interest in Sancho, it would be advisable for the club to try to transfer him to a foreign team.
