Thomas Tuchel, the England manager who was rumored to a transfer to Old Trafford prior to Amorim, will kick off the action. The odds are 18/1 for the German, who is only the third non-Englishman to take over the Three Lions position, although it doesn’t seem realistic considering the 2026 World Cup.
Should the Manchester United executives decide to take a different approach, Amorim’s successors might include former Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer and Crystal Palace’s Oliver Glasner. The odds for both managers are 16/1.
After making an impression in the Middlesbrough dugout during his three-match caretaker tenure from November to December 2021, Michael Carrick may be eligible for a return. He is youthful, dynamic, and directly related to Old Trafford events.

Following Bayer Leverkusen’s announcement that Xabi Alonso would be departing at the end of the current campaign, he is now available for acquisition. A transfer to Real Madrid after Carlo Ancelotti (more on him later!) seems likely, though, for a midfield technician at his best.
After Inter Milan’s march to the Champions League final, Simone Inzaghi has become increasingly sought after. He also uses a three-back scheme, but whether or not that is advantageous will depend on the supporter. Massimiliano Allegri, who is currently unemployed, has chances of 14/1 as well.

Fulham’s Marco Silva is worth the same point. Given that he has currently managed the west Londoners for 182 games, following stints at Everton and Watford, the 47-year-old is undoubtedly a desirable candidate.
USMNT coach Mauricio Pochettino and Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers, who are both 12/1, are positioned between the two Premier League managers. Naturally, both have prior experience managing the English top flight, but it’s unclear if they would return.
