Luis Enrique Involved in Physical Altercation With Joao Pedro After Chelsea 3-0 PSG

Following his team’s 3-0 loss to Chelsea in the Club World Cup final, Luis Enrique, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, completely lost his mind at the last siren. The Premier League opponents completely outscored the French team, who were heavy favorites heading into the game.

PSG was predicted to defeat the Blues after winning the Champions League and easily defeating Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, and Inter Milan en route to the championship game. But that day, the Europa Conference League champions were a force to be reckoned with.

Cole Palmer scored two excellent goals during his Man of the Match performance, and Joao Pedro added a third goal just before halftime to make it 3-0. Chelsea went on to win the Club World Cup after holding PSG at bay for the rest of the match.

However, tensions rose at the end of the game. Joao Neves was dismissed first for pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair. Luis Enrique was then observed crashing into Pedro.

Luis Enrique Disputes With Chelsea’s Joao Pedro PSG Manager After Losing in the Club World Cup Final, Seems Disappointed

Beyond the aggravation of losing, it’s still unknown what specifically led to the physical altercation, but PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who was involved in Jamal Musiala’s horrific injury earlier in the competition, also seemed to play a significant role in the altercation.

Nevertheless, it appears that Luis Enrique is shown in the video grabbing for Pedro’s throat. As additional players hurried to the situation, the Brazilian then made a spectacular hit on the deck.

It’s obvious that PSG isn’t used to losing because they only lost twice in Ligue 1 this season while winning that league. Despite losing to Botafogo in the Club World Cup group stage, they won all of their subsequent games to go to the final.

But when they faced Chelsea, led by Enzo Maresca, they eventually lost steam. Pedro has quickly established himself as a fan favorite, scoring three goals before getting engaged in this altercation with the PSG coach. Pedro only joined in time to compete in the competition’s last three games.
