After calculating the amount of money they would have needed to spend on new players, Liverpool reportedly decided against hiring Ruben Amorim to take over as Jurgen Klopp’s replacement.
Back in January of 2024, Jurgen Klopp made the announcement that he would be leaving Liverpool at the conclusion of the 23/24 season, which caused shockwaves to travel throughout the entire football world.

Despite this, Liverpool made the decision not to hire Amorim after determining that it would cost approximately 400 million pounds to bring in the players that would be required to play his defensive system.
Amorim eventually made a move to the Premier League after being passed over by Liverpool. He was selected by Manchester United to take Erik ten Hag’s place in the team’s starting lineup.
On the other hand, the forty-year-old has had a difficult time putting his playing style into action until this point, as United is currently ranked fourteenth in the Premier League table.
Amorim was asked whether his formation could be the issue before United’s Europa League match against AZ Alkmaar. The match is scheduled to take place for the Europa League.
