The Premier League dates for the upcoming season were revealed, and Arne Slot will take over as Liverpool’s head coach at promoted Ipswich Town.

The Reds complete the season at home against Crystal Palace on Sunday, May 25 of the following year. On Saturday, August 17, at 12.30 p.m., they travel to Portman Road for the game.

It perpetuates the pattern of Liverpool being the noon kickoff considerably more frequently than any other club over the last nine years, which so infuriated Slot’s predecessor, Jurgen Klopp. The Reds will open the season away from home for the fourth time in a row and against a promoted team for the fifth time in six campaigns.

The first home match for Liverpool is against Brentford on the second weekend. Then, the following week, they travel to face their fierce rivals, Manchester United, in the biggest match of the season.

During the first seven games, the Reds will play Wolves and Crystal Palace away from home, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth at home, and that is the only major opponent they will face.

Important dates include matches against Manchester United at home on January 4 and against Manchester City at home on November 30, with the latter returning to the Etihad on February 22. The season’s first Merseyside derby takes place at Goodison on 7 December versus Everton, and the midweek matchup at Anfield takes place on Wednesday, April 2.

On October 25, Liverpool visits Arsenal; however, they don’t play again until May 10, which is the penultimate home game. Liverpool’s home games versus Chelsea are scheduled for October 18 at Anfield and May 3 at Stamford Bridge. On Boxing Day, Liverpool plays promoted Leicester City at home.

The games in the first round have been selected for live television coverage; however, after Sky Sports and TNT Sports have selected their weekly selections for broadcast, the remaining matches could be altered.
