Liverpool involved in ‘three-player swap deal’ to sign Alexander Isak alternative that would officially win the transfer window

Liverpool might trade two players for a top forward.

Liverpool has been connected with a ‘three-player swap deal’ to sign an Alexander Isak replacement, according to astonishing reports.

Liverpool have already been busy this summer, signing Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz.

Frimpong cost £29.5 million, while Wirtz set a club record at £116 million.

Arne Slot, who won the Premier League title in his first season at the club, is looking to add more quality ahead of the 2025/26 season.

A new No.9 is thought to be on Liverpool and Slot’s radar, with many players connected with a move.

Isak’s name has been mentioned following his successful tenure at Newcastle United, where he scored 23 league goals last season.

However, a deal is unlikely to be achieved because Newcastle are demanding a prohibitively expensive sum.

However, Liverpool might look into Victor Osimhen, who had a fantastic loan spell at Galatasaray from Napoli last season.

He scored an incredible 37 goals in all competitions.

Osimhen has since been linked to Manchester United and Al Hilal.

Liverpool is also reportedly monitoring his position.

Furthermore, Liverpool might offer Napoli two players in return for Osimhen.

According to Italian journalist Valter de Maggio, Federico Chiesa and Darwin Nunez might serve as makeweights in a hypothetical deal to sign Osimhen.

“There is a market connection between Naples and Liverpool. The English club wants Osimhen, and Napoli, from this standpoint, does not make any concessions on the provision, so they are seeking for €75 million (£64/$86 million) as stated in the contract,” said De Maggio.

“The sporting director of the Neapolitan club, Giovanni Manna, has tried to ask for information for the two Reds forwards, namely Darwin Nunez and former Juventus player Federico Chiesa.”

He continued, “Liverpool would have opened out to Napoli by suggesting an equal exchange of players involved in this operation.

“Aurelio De Laurentiis, however, has other ideas and is not listening: the president of the blue club is asking for Chiesa, Nunez and €20million (£17m/$23m) for Osimhen’s registration.”

Chiesa and Nunez have been linked with moves away from Liverpool this summer.

Following his departure from Juventus, the Italian winger had only a minor role last season.

Nunez has generally failed to impress since his £85 million transfer in the summer of 2022.
