“But they were given encouragement too (no more so than Monday) & Man U offer was yet to come.”
“It will be back to other targets now… & impact on Isak is clear,” the journalist continued, referring to Isak and other targets. As it is, he is unable to go.
What would happen if Alexander Isak couldn’t be signed by Liverpool this summer?
If Liverpool is unable to reach an agreement with Newcastle for Isak, it is uncertain what they will do in the market.
However, given Darwin Nunez’s anticipated retirement and Diogo Jota’s untimely death, Arne Slot will probably seek attacking options for the forthcoming campaign.
Hugo Ekitike has already been enticed to Anfield by Liverpool, of course, but additional personnel may be required to match the demands of the upcoming campaign.
