Liverpool are interested in recruiting Robinho Junior, the son of former Manchester City and Real Madrid star Robinho, and are closely monitoring his growth in Brazil, according to MailOnline journalist Lewis Steele.
The Anfield club apparently has a scout present at numerous matches of eight-time Brazilian champions Santos to keep an eye on Robinho Jnr, who is on the verge of making the first-team squad at the age of 17.
Dassler Marques, a Liverpool scout, has attended several Santos games this season to keep an eye on the potential forward, who has not played much for the Sao Paulo club this season.
In three substitute appearances in Brazilian Serie A, the left-winger has played only 52 minutes and has sat out the last eight Santos games.
Liverpool Monitoring Robinho Jnr

According to MailOnline, Chelsea is also keeping a close eye on Robinho Jnr, with its South American scouting staff tracking the 17-year-old’s progress at Santos.
Robinho Junior is regarded as the most promising young player to emerge from Santos’ academy, which has produced Pele, Neymar, Rodrygo, and Gabriel Barbosa.
The 17-year-old winger joined Santos’ development program in May 2022 at the age of 14, and signed his first professional contract with the club in August 2024.
He was officially registered with the first-team squad in February and was quickly given the number 7 jersey previously worn by his father, Robinho, who spent three periods at the Brazilian club and was capped 100 times by his country.
Robinho Jnr made his first-team debut in July, coming on as a substitute in Santos’ 1-0 home victory over Flamengo in Serie A.
Liverpool’s summer transfer window saw them reinvigorate Arne Slot’s first-team roster with a number of promising acquisitions, including Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, and Milos Kerkez.
The reigning Premier League champions also signed Giovanni Leoni, an 18-year-old Italian centre-back, from Parma on a six-year contract.
Leoni is regarded as one of Europe’s most potential center defenders, having recently completed a breakout season in Italy, where he appeared in 17 Serie A games.
Liverpool shattered their transfer record twice this summer with the arrivals of Wirtz and Alexander Isak, the Swedish international joining from Newcastle for £125 million.
The Reds paid the most money on new players in the world, totaling £415 million, with eight new acquisitions completed.
