Following the Italian’s confirmation as Chelsea’s new head coach, Enzo Maresca has reportedly irritated Leicester City officials. In his first season in charge at King Power Stadium, Maresca guided the Foxes to the Championship title. However, he later departed the team to take over as Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement at Stamford Bridge.
Maresca, who managed 31 Championship victories in his first season in the Leicester dugout, had a strong season as Pep Guardiola’s assistant manager at Manchester City in 2022–2023.
However, he declined to remain with the East Midlands team during their inaugural Premier League campaign.
