Lamine Yamal makes Thierry Henry promise after rare request from Arsenal legend live on CBS Sports

After the Barcelona star’s heroics in the Champions League, Thierry Henry asked Lamine Yamal for something.

After his exploits for Barcelona against Inter Milan in the Champions League, Thierry Henry asked Lamine Yamal on CBS Sports.

The first leg of Barca and Inter’s semi-final match ended in an exciting 3-3 draw on Wednesday.

Yamal’s spectacular performance at the Barcelona Olympic Stadium was the highlight of the event.

Erling Haaland was surprised when he scored an incredible solo goal and nearly scored another when he skinned Inter defender Federico Dimarco.

Rio Ferdinand, who was commentating on the game on TNT Sports, made a ridiculous statement about the 17-year-old sensation.

In an interview with CBS Sports following his Champions League exploits, Yamal was asked if he knew former Premier League defenders Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards.

Additionally, he spoke with Henry, who informed him that he would be present at the El Clasico meeting this month.

Yamal responded by requesting his match shirt in exchange for the Arsenal legend’s permission to take it for his son.

Yamal and Henry will exchange shirts following Barca’s La Liga match against longtime rivals Real on May 11; the young star is expected to get one of the Frenchman’s vintage uniforms.

Henry praised highly of Yamal, mentioning the winger’s awareness and composure.

He stated on CBS Sports, “What I saw tonight from Lamine Yamal… it’s not normal to be like that at 17.”

“I’m not talking about his awareness, his composure, his perception of the game, his defensive style, or his ability to apply pressure while he’s on the ball. It simply isn’t typical. At that age, he already had 100 games, which we discussed.

“It’s actually simply dumb. He played like a man possessed, and when I say “a man,” he isn’t even a man yet, technically. I have no idea what I’m watching or witnessing. It’s simply not typical.

Yamal, who performed admirably for Spain at the Euro 2024 last summer, keeps getting better and better.
