Alongside staff, the 2025 Ballon d’Or nominee was also spotted searching through his suitcase on a parking lot floor, although it was said that he left the stadium without the crucial paperwork.
On X, journalist Emir gave followers an update on the incident, writing: “Lamine Yamal’s passport was misplaced. Lamine Yamal spent a considerable amount of time looking for his passport after the game, then went back to the locker room and checked there as well. He didn’t find it when he exited the stadium.

According to Turkiye Today, the Spanish Football Federation spoke with local police and Turkish officials about the situation.
After then, the problem was fixed, and Yamal took a private flight home apart from the others.
In preparation for Sunday’s home match against Valencia, he will now head back to Barcelona for training.
When they come for international duty, members of the England national team, including Yamal’s teammate Marcus Rashford, usually submit their passports to FA employees, who then return them when needed.
Yamal has frequently been likened to Lionel Messi, the legendary player for Barcelona, and he has also experienced passport confusion.
