Kurt Zouma medical booked as exit-bound West Ham United defender spotted at airport

A source told Nawaf Al-Aqeel that West Ham back Kurt Zouma has arrived in Saudi Arabia for a medical with Al-Orouba Club.

On Monday (26 August), the Saudi sports writer wrote on his personal X account that the deal between the clubs and the player had been reached. He also said that the player would sign with the newly promoted Saudi Pro League team as long as he passed his medical later that same day.

Al-Aqeel also sent a picture of Zouma at an airport before his medical.

Kurt Zouma will finally leave West Ham
It’s clear that football in Saudi Arabia is growing, and in the past few years, some teams that not many people would have heard of have become very popular.

It’s clear that Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr is the most important one.

Not many people would have heard of Al-Orouba Club before this story came out on Monday. West Ham’s Zouma was scheduled to have a medical there.
But we don’t think the former Chelsea centre back will make them famous like Ronaldo did with Al-Nassr. This shows how eager Zouma was to leave the London Stadium for a team no one has heard of.

Al-Orouba Club won second place in Saudi Arabia’s 2023–24 First Division League, which earned them a spot in the Pro League for this season.
They are coached by Álvaro Pacheco from Portugal, and Zouma will play with players like Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson, who used to play centre for Burnley, and Jean Michaël Seri, who used to play for Fulham and Hull.

The team doesn’t have a lot of big names, but Zouma will help them get some more attention.
