Kjetil Knutsen, manager of Bodø/Glimt, has responded to reports of his interest in the Celtic position.

Kjetil Knutsen, manager of Bodø/Glimt, responded to speculation about a potential Celtic managing position following his team’s 5-0 victory over Bryne.

The Norwegian tactician has once again been mentioned as a top option if Martin O’Neill’s interim stay at Celtic Park ends after the international break. Knutsen’s reputation has grown as a result of Glimt’s offensive style of football and their continuous success in the domestic and European markets.

Speaking with TV2, Knutsen stated:

“Nothing is certain in life. I’m here now, and I’m glad, and then we can watch a good football match. It is impossible to answer regarding other clubs. I respond as I always do: “If I leave, it should be for something more exciting than Glimt.”

Celtic are reportedly interested in the 57-year-old due to his consistent performance and the culture he has established at Bodø.

But, true to tradition, Knutsen stayed calm and balanced, avoiding headlines and focusing on his squad.

His statements expressed both pride in his current project and a calm aspiration for the future.

While he did not totally rule out a move, he made it plain that only a genuinely exceptional offer would entice him away from Glimt — and that message will give Celtic something to think about in their ongoing managerial hunt.
