Celtic’s head of scouting has negotiated a move to Swansea, according to a report.
The decision marks yet another high-profile shift at Celtic Park and comes only weeks after Brendan Rodgers abruptly resigned.
Jay Lefevre, 34, joined Celtic from Arsenal in 2019 and worked first with Neil Lennon and Nick Hammond.
He remained in his position during Ange Postecoglou’s and Rodgers’ tenures, and it’s intriguing that he left at this time given the commotion surrounding the club’s summer hiring.
The announcement coincides with the dismissal of Alan Sheehan from the Swans, who are now in 18th place in the English Championship.

A dreadfully bad summer transfer window that ultimately resulted in Rodgers’ resignation set up a wave of Celtic fan protests.
Dermot Desmond’s harsh criticism of the outgoing Hoops manager makes it abundantly evident that his exit was bitter.
Former Hoops defender Darren O’Dea helped out fired manager Sheehan, who had previously worked with current Celtic coach Mark Fotheringham.
The Hoops are in dire need of offensive options after they completed the surprising signing of Adam Idah this summer for an estimated £7 million.
A week prior to his resignation, Rodgers famously compared his team to a Honda Civic, demonstrating his dissatisfaction with the way his side was performing.
It’s unclear yet whether this is a part of a broader reorganization or only Lefevre getting, but Stephen McGowan of The Herald says the agreement has been reached.
Although the club’s precise plans are unclear, Michael Nicholson has recognized that a rethink of the transfer strategy is required.
This is particularly true given that Martin O’Neill is now serving as the first team’s caretaker manager and the Hoops do not currently have a manager.
Currently being linked are Kieran McKenna, Wilfried Nancy, and Kjetil Knutsen.
