The Hollywood duo may soon be joined at Wrexham by one of the wealthiest individuals on the planet.
Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, is expected to join Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds at Wrexham and help them advance to the Premier League.
Hollywood celebrities Reynolds and McElhenney purchased Wrexham in November 2020, and since then, the Welsh team has gone on an amazing journey that has seen them advance to the Championship three times in a row.
The Red Dragons will have their most difficult task to date going into the 2025–2026 season, as their continued existence in the second tier is far from assured.
However, it hasn’t stopped the two co-owners from stating their hopes of making it to the Premier League in the near future—a goal that would have seemed absurd five years ago.
And it has been predicted that one of the wealthiest individuals in the world will provide financial support to the Welsh team in order to do this.

Wrexham is anticipated to make a number of significant roster changes prior to their August 9 debut against Southampton.
While club icon Paul Mullin recently confirmed a loan move to Wigan Athletic, a number of Premier League players have been linked to a move to the Racecourse Ground.
Additionally, Matt Jansen, a former Blackburn and Crystal Palace player, has proposed that either Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, or Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, join the Wrexham board in an effort to further the desire to target well-known figures in the market.
“You probably need a Jeff Bezos or a Mark Zuckerberg to help with the finances because the finances of football have gone out of control,” he said in an interview with Live Casinos.
“Looking at Cristiano Ronaldo’s current salary, it is simply outrageous.
“Stupid sums of money would be needed to compete at the highest level or to propel Wrexham to the next level.
Thus, they may require a character such as that. They may need to rely on someone like that, but they’re not lacking a bob or two.”

Which athletes are available for Wrexham to sign this summer?
A number of Premier League players, notably Jamie Vardy and Tom Cairney, have been strongly linked to Wrexham during the summer.
However, Ryan Hardie, a forward, was their first acquisition from Plymouth Argyle, paying a reported £700,000 transfer fee.
According to a recent story, Reynolds and McElhenney are reportedly nearing an agreement for Leicester City goalkeeper Danny Ward, suggesting they aren’t given up on acquiring a Premier League player.
After his Leicester contract expires this summer, the 32-year-old, who progressed through the Wrexham junior system but never played for the senior squad, is apparently scheduled to have a physical with the Welsh team on Monday before becoming a free agent.
