Jamal Musiala Sends Clear Message to Gianluigi Donnarumma After Horror Injury

The good news for supporters of Germany and Bayern Munich is that Jamal Musiala has recovered from a horrific injury and is currently on the path to recovery following surgery.

The 22-year-old and Gianluigi Donnarumma had an unpleasant collision during his team’s 2-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup. In addition to damaging multiple ligaments in his leg and foot, he sustained a fractured fibula due to an ankle dislocation and is probably not going to return for four to five months.

Manuel Neuer, the goalkeeper for Bayern, criticized Donnarumma for his involvement in the incident and for not staying with Musiala to console him in the immediate aftermath of the injury.

‘Don’t you want to go over to our player?’ I said to him,” he remarked. Going over to wish the man well is only right. In the end, he did that. Fairness is crucial at all times. My response would have been different.

Then, Thibaut Courtois of Real Madrid defended Donnarumma, stating that it was more a case of bad luck than anything malevolent on the part of the Italian.

Furthermore, Musiala has now expressed his genuine opinions on the subject for the first time.

Musiala first confirmed that the procedure went successfully in a video posted to his Instagram account. Then, he emphasized that Donnarumma was not at fault, saying:

“The procedure proceeded quite smoothly. I’m well taken care of. Additionally, I wanted to clarify that nobody is at fault for this. I believe that such circumstances occur.

“I’m simply going to use the upcoming time to regain my strength and optimism. I’m excited to see you all once more.”
