Jadon Sancho Next Club: Premier League Move Possible as 15 Favourites Named

Jadon Sancho is in a difficult position. During his illustrious time playing for Borussia Dortmund in Germany, Manchester United was interested in him; nevertheless, his performance at Old Trafford was unsatisfactory, which facilitated a move elsewhere. He was mentored by Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea in the summer of 2024.

The 25-year-old Sancho and the west Londoners defeated Real Betis in the Europa Conference League final, but they will not be extending his loan. The higher-ups are actually spending £5 million to return him to Manchester.

There is very little chance that he will be reintegrated into Ruben Amorim’s future plans at Old Trafford, which is considered to be one of the best stadiums in Premier League history. This is especially true given the club’s recent acquisition of Matheus Cunha.

In light of this, Betfred, through The Sun, has identified the 15 teams that are most likely to sign the wide player, even though his high salary—which is thought to be around £250,000 per week—may prove to be a barrier for any potential suitors.

Is Sancho back wearing the colors of Borussia Dortmund?
He scored 53 goals and provided 67 assists while in Germany.

As previously said, Sancho, who is considered to be among Manchester United’s worst acquisitions, attracted the attention of Europe’s elites while he was in Dortmund. Sancho was at his best for the North Rhine-Westphalia team because he was unpredictable and eager to go all out for the goal.

The London-born winger, who was signed in 2017 after excelling in Manchester City’s academy, played for three and a half years in Germany before being signed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Red Devils in 2021. During that time, he showed a lot of promise.

Now, a return to the Bundesliga is possible. With chances of 5/1, Die Schwarzgelben might take advantage of the opportunity to fire their former wonderkid. It remains to be seen if the departure of his close friend Marco Reus at the end of the 2023–24 season would deter him.

Move to MLS or Saudi Arabia on The Cards

Could the winger follow in the footsteps of either Messi or Ronaldo?

Since Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo represent the Saudi Pro League and Major League Soccer (MLS), respectively, both leagues are attracting more players in their early stages of development rather than just those who are having a final season before eventually retiring.

The influx of players like Moussa Diaby, Ruben Neves, and Jhon Duran is evidence of Saudi Arabia’s increasing appeal, but is Sancho, who was born in 2000, the next star to leave while in their, according to study, prime years? The odds of moving to any Middle Eastern team are 5/1.

The once-promising winger, who hasn’t featured for England since a 2021 World Cup qualifying match against Andorra, may also be moving across the pond to the MLS, the highest division in the United States. However, a move to either might make it impossible for him to continue playing for the Three Lions.

Serie A Trio Considered as Possible Locations
The arrival of Sancho could improve Inter Milan’s spirits.

The Serie A can provide a different kind of football because it is played at a slower tempo than the Premier League. Players like Sancho can more easily build up with grace and frequently at a slower pace. Additionally, the English winger might be pursued this summer by three teams from the top division of Italy.

This includes two teams from the city, AC Milan and Inter, who are trying to get back on track after suffering a humiliating 5-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final. Given Simone Inzaghi’s impending departure, Sancho might provide some enthusiasm for the supporters.

The odds for the Nerazzurri’s local rivals are 20/1 elsewhere. Juventus, the former dominant team in Italy, is trying to reclaim their dominance in the country, and acquiring Sancho for a low cost, regardless of his weekly salary, would be a smart place to start. As of this writing, their pricing is 33/1.

Sancho may continue to play in the Premier League.
Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, and Arsenal are all mentioned.

Sancho’s Chelsea stint, which comprised of five goals and 10 assists in 41 matches, split the Stamford Bridge team – but there were undoubtedly glimmers of a player that could play in his homeland’s top division week-in, week-out. And that’s why playing for another Premier League team could be on the cards.

Nine teams in England’s top division, including Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Arne Slot’s Liverpool, who won the 2024–25 Premier League season, might take advantage of his circumstances, according to Betfred’s odds. At 7/1, Aston Villa now has the best odds of any team in the top flight.

After losing Rashford and Marco Asensio, Unai Emery might be searching for more attacking talents. Sancho’s experience both at home and in Europe could be useful in the upcoming season and beyond.

If Sancho decides to stay in his own country, he has additional choices, including Tottenham Hotspur (10/1), Everton, and Nottingham Forest (12/1). However, Manchester United executives might be hesitant to trade the former League Cup champion to a direct rival.
