In a recent post, Jadon Sancho responded in five words to a Manchester United supporter who referred to him as the “worst signing in club history.”
Five United misfits, including Sancho, are presently practicing apart from the first team roster.
On social media, a fan called Jadon Sancho the “worst signing in the club’s history.” Sancho responded to the criticism.
Chelsea, who were required to purchase the winger, had Sancho on loan for the 2024–2025 campaign.
The Blues, however, chose not to fulfill that duty and instead gave United a £5 million penalty.
Although it is a little different from what he is used to, Sancho is back at Old Trafford for the start of the preseason.
Sancho is one of five players who have been essentially shunned by the first team lineup and made to train by themselves, according to BBC Sport.
From Sancho’s perspective, the 25-year-old would almost certainly have played his final United match.
He might therefore be without a team for several months if he doesn’t find a new one by the September 1 deadline.
The winger, who might be included in a trade with Juventus’ exiled striker Dusan Vlahovic, has been linked to a low-cost move.
Sancho, who paid £73 million to join the team from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, would have a terrible time at Old Trafford if he were to leave.
Sancho played just three games in the 2023–24 season after two seasons with comparatively poor performances, and he was loaned back to Dortmund for the second half of that season.
One fan sent a long, profane message to Sancho in the comments section of his most recent Instagram image, calling him “the worst signing in the greatest club’s history” and adding: “You’re a stain on the shade of red that we wear.” Goodbye.
Sancho’s simple reaction was, “Have a good day bro.”
What team will Jadon Sancho join?
With virtually little reported interest from other teams in the England winger, Sancho is currently expected to join Juventus.
After his entourage spoke with the club, Sancho is ‘excited to wait’ for the Italian powerhouses, according to Football Italia.
According to reports, United has acknowledged internally that Juventus is unwilling to pay their alleged €25 million asking price for a player who will probably be paid not to play in six weeks if he is unable to find another club.
Sancho’s prospective value is further diminished by the fact that he is in the final 12 months of the five-year contract he originally signed in 2021.
