When Gabriel Martinelli defeated Robert Sanchez at the near post, they succeeded.
However, Enzo Maresca has altered Chelsea’s mindset this season; they never give up. Raheem Sterling (now at Arsenal, wearing his No. 7 jersey in the Chelsea team) was replaced by Pedro Neto, who equalised with an absolutely unstoppable shot that sent the home crowd into raptures and brought Stamford Bridge to life in a way that had not been felt this season.
Chelsea played a side that was second in the league and showed no fear, matching them blow for blow throughout the encounter, even if they were unable to secure the victory they strived for.

Although he occasionally distributes slowly, he lost a higher rating since he was unable to stop Martinelli’s near-post strike.

Marc Cucurella: 6
Cucurella was assigned to mark the elusive Bukayo Saka, and he was nearly always with him. His offensive contributions were therefore minimal, but his defensive play was strong.
Levi Colwill, age 7
Despite being booked for a forceful tackle on Saka in the first half, he continued to play well. aerially dominant and composed under stressful situations.
Wesley Fofana, age eight
Fofana endures pain that few players in the world can match, but he persevered and was almost invincible for the majority of the match.
Romeo Lavia: 7
Lavia appeared to have been assigned the responsibility of marking Martin Ødegaard, and he did so effectively, reducing Ødegaard’s impact. There were not many errors in his passing.
Moisés Caicedo: 7
An all-around midfield performance. Caicedo was always the first to the ball, ready to break up play and receive passes.
Cole Palmer: 7
