Not only am I afraid of him, but I’m also afraid of him.Maresca will win us if they start Him that day, in my opinion. Arne’s spot reveals the ONE player from Chelsea who he is terrified to face on Saturday. Not Sancho, and Not Madueke

When Chelsea plays Liverpool, Enzo Maresca will have to alter the starting lineup by at least two players. This weekend marks the Blues’ first Premier League match following the October international break.

After Chelsea and Nottingham Forest were held to a 1-1 draw in their previous meeting, Maresca will need to make two changes to the lineup he had at Stamford Bridge.

Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella are serving one-match bans, therefore they will be suspended for the encounter against Liverpool.

The tie with Forest earned both defenders their fifth yellow card of the year, meaning they won’t be able to play in the Premier League again until Chelsea takes on Newcastle on October 27.

Maresca might therefore start Tosin Adarabioyo at center back instead of Fofana. Since joining Chelsea from Fulham in the summer, the defender has only made one Premier League start for the team. However, this weekend’s trip to Anfield by the Blues could change that.

Renato Veiga may also start at left back in place of Cucurella, who is suspended. Veiga joined Chelsea from Basel and has made eight appearances since making his debut for Portugal during the international break.

Reece James, who resumed training this week, may be able to make his Chelsea debut on Sunday. Maresca will be careful not to rush the Blues captain’s return because he has been out due to injury the entire season.

After joining Chelsea from Manchester United, Jadon Sancho has also had a great start to his career, while Noni Madueke has been one of the season’s standout players thus far. If Maresca wants to alter the lineup from the team that drew with Forest even more, he also has forward options in Christopher Nkunku, Joao Felix, Pedro Neto, and Mykhailo Mudryk.

Possible Chelsea starting lineup vs Liverpool: Gusto, Adarabioyo, Veiga, Colwill, Caicedo, Madueke, Palmer, Sancho; Jackson
