Enzo Maresca, the manager of Chelsea, called Jadon Sancho a “special player” following his outstanding debut on his loan at Stamford Bridge.
Despite his well-documented difficulties at Manchester United, the winger is still under contract there. In four Premier League outings for Chelsea, he has three assists.
Maresca has also praised Sancho and shown confidence in the England international’s ability to succeed with the Blues.
“Jadon is doing well,” Maresca stated at his press conference prior to this weekend’s game against Liverpool. He must keep working hard every day in the same manner.As I’ve stated previously, he will undoubtedly assist us. We genuinely think he is a unique player.But the only way he can prove that is to put in a lot of effort every day, never settle for anything less than the best, and constantly aim high. He must have an insatiable want for more.
Due to a disagreement with manager Erik ten Hag, Sancho was only able to make three appearances for United in the previous campaign. He spent a more fruitful loan period with Borussia Dortmund during the latter part of the season, and since moving to London, he seems to be revived.
The 24-year-old has talked well of his improved play at Chelsea, which comes after a challenging time after his much-awaited £70 million move to United.
Last month, he stated, “I just want to keep this momentum going and keep being able to assist my team-mates.” He was pleased to have been able to assist goals in previous games and was settling in well. Or even score your first goal—that would be wonderful! Sancho has helped Chelsea, who are currently fourth in the newly formed Premier League standings, have a promising start to the season. Chelsea will next travel to leaders Liverpool.
Maresca is happy with his players thus far in the season, although realizing that they still need to develop.
“I am overjoyed to see that the players, level, and style match my expectations exactly. I’ve stated again that it’s evident how we want to play regardless of who plays,” the Italian stated.
We’ve only been together for two or three months, so there are definitely games we could be doing better in. Nevertheless, I’m thrilled to be a part of one of the greatest teams in the world and feel incredibly fortunate to be able to share my time and energies with this team. Thus, I’m overjoyed.
