The’masked Premier League star’ appeared on Monday.
The identity of the masked ‘Premier League star’ in Baller League has been discovered.
The Baller League returned for its second season on Monday, following a successful initial year in the United Kingdom.
Each side has a celebrity manager, such as Lionesses actress Chloe Kelly and former Liverpool and Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge.
Not to mention YouTuber Niko Omilana, who hinted before kickoff that his team will feature a ‘current’ Premier League player.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I am about to tell you guys probably the craziest news in the Baller League’s history,” stated the captain.
“On Monday, October 27th, I, Niko Omilana, the manager of the NDL FC, will draft an actual Premier League player, active.
“Can’t tell you who it is, we will get in a lot of trouble, it is going to go crazy.”

The player was presented as he entered the fray to take a free kick.
The putative top-flight star, however, wore a black ski mask, keeping his identity secret.
Fans assumed they knew who the player was because he only appeared in set pieces.
Or was Niko’s announcement part of a publicity trick to promote the upcoming season? In a recent update on the’masked’ player, several posts have linked footage of the mystery footballer to… wait for it… Kevin Weggen.
While Baller League analysts praised the player’s appearance on Monday night, Weggen has never played a minute in the Premier League.
Who is Kevin Weggen?
Weggen is a German amateur footballer who represents Calcio Berlin.
He has previously played for various lower-league clubs, notably FC Wegberg-Beeck and SV Straelen.
His FotMob profile and recent match clips bear an uncanny resemblance to the masked player’s stance and set-piece approach.
Footage from his previous games reveals a similar right-footed approach, with many speculating the’masked’ Baller League hero is Weggen.
He has already played in the Baller League, for Calcio Berlin, and is regarded as a ‘legend’ as the six-a-side competition gets underway in Germany.
Weggen had 23 goals and two helpers in 11 games during the 2025 season.
