I would love to play at Old Trafford – 31 goals and assists Man Utd target hints he is finally open to transfer after snubbing Erik ten Hag twice

I’d be thrilled to perform at Old Trafford. 31 goals and helpers After turning down Erik ten Hag twice, Man Utd target suggests he is now willing to consider a transfer.
Ajax striker Brian Brobbey was once courted by Manchester United, but the Dutchman hinted at a potential transfer to Old Trafford in a media interview.

Even though Brian Brobbey has already turned down two offers from Manchester United, he has stated that the team is one he would like to play for in the future.

The 22-year-old striker for Ajax, who came up through Amsterdam’s academy system, made his senior debut in 2020 under Erik ten Hag. The Dutchman’s current team has previously been linked to the striker.

Even though it hasn’t happened, Brobbey stated that he would be willing to play at Old Trafford in the future in a Q&A with the most recent Dutch issue of Men’s Health magazine.

“Real Madrid is a great club, but so are Arsenal and Manchester United,” was the response from Brobbey, who asserted he would be worth more than, when asked to name a foreign team he would like to play for.

Brobbey has previously made no secret of the fact that he has turned down the chance to reunite with his former coach in the Premier League, despite his seeming interest in joining United.

He acknowledged that in the summer of 2022, after Ten Hag personally contacted him to try to convince him to come to Old Trafford, he turned down United in favor of rejoining Ajax from RB Leipzig. A few months later, Brobbey spoke and said:

“My agent would get millions of euros at United, and I could make multiples of my Ajax salary,” he said in response to a call from Erik ten Hag. However, we had already made up our minds to attend Ajax.

“I insisted on going back to Ajax, even though Manchester United wanted to have me.” My agent Jose Fortes Rodriguez even waived a sizable portion of the sell-on clause to make that possible.

In the January transfer window, Brobbey caught United’s attention once more because Ten Hag was in severe need of firepower. The striker, though, indicated that he was not interested in making such a move and went on to say that he no longer even had Ten Hag’s phone number saved.

With Ineos now in charge, it’s expected that United will be looking for another striker ahead of the 2024–25 season, though it’s unclear if they would pursue Brobbey once more.

Despite Ajax’s difficulties in the Eredivisie, Brobbey has been in good form for them this season, making 39 appearances across all competitions and contributing 21 goals and 10 assists.
