I will join even if I adore Man United and Arsenal. Man United learns of Benjamin Sesko’s decision to finalise his transfer from RB Leipzig.
It appears that dreams of Benjamin Sesko joining Manchester United have come to an end as he has apparently chosen to stay at RB Leipzig.
Following his outstanding debut season in Germany, United, along with fellow Premier League teams Arsenal and Chelsea, have been linked to signing the Slovenian striker this summer.
Sesko’s debut season with Leipzig ended with him scoring 18 goals in 42 games, making him a player in high demand during the transfer window.
However, it appears that the Red Devils will need to focus elsewhere in light of the most recent information provided by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano on the player.
The 21-year-old has “decided to stay” at his present team and is anticipated to sign a new deal soon.
Man United received criticism for passing up a £30 million signing, but they may soon get at least £10 million more.
The fact that Sesko’s new contract contains a “gentleman’s agreement,” which opens the door for a future exit when both parties determine the timing is right, gives United some optimism in light of this revelation.
The athlete signed a five-year contract last summer, and his current one was set to end in 2028. However, his long-term future has now been secured to preserve his value.
It was believed that Sesko’s previous contract included a €65 million (£55 million) release clause, which has probably been deleted when better terms were negotiated with the German side.
Because England is in the same group as Slovenia at the European Championships in Germany this summer, English clubs will have a closer look at the attacker.
On June 25, the two nations will play each other in the Three Lions’ Group C championship match.
