“I don’t mean to sound unprofessional, but I’m sick of him at this point. He is not contributing any value to this team.- Man United star Lisandro Martinez passionately blames his teammate after Chelsea DRAW.
Manchester United drew 1-1 against Chelsea at Old Trafford. The following are our player ratings from the game.
(A score of 6 is around typical.)
Andre Onana 5. Some awful kicks. He nearly put the squad in peril by failing to hang on to the ball from a Chelsea set-piece, but he quickly made apologies.
Diogo Dalot 6 – He went about his tasks quietly, with nothing noteworthy. Pedro Neto, the difficult one, was silenced.
Matthijs de Ligt 6 – Did his duty. Vital block to prevent Cole Palmer’s shot from bothering Onana. Was not at fault for Moises Caicedo’s equaliser.
Lisandro Martinez 6 – Improved performance at centre back.
Noussair Mazraoui 7 – Excellent left-back. United’s finest player in the first half continued where he left off after the break. He moved ahead whenever possible and was technically sound.
Manuel Ugarte: 3 – Poor. Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia are the bosses. His passing was careless at times, and the ball was grabbed from him on several occasions. Just didn’t seem to be keeping up with the quick speed of the game.
Casemiro 6 – Appears to be performing much better in recent games. Some of his tackles and interceptions were quite important. I also tried to help move the ball ahead.
Bruno Fernandes 8 – Scored his first Premier League penalty by sending Chelsea’s custodian the wrong way. Nice cross-field ball for Rashford’s shot.
Alejandro Garnacho 4: Once again, wasteful. He had a great opportunity to put United ahead, but he fluffed his lines. Reece James felt completely at ease against him. Casemiro chastised me for not following up.
Marcus Rashford 6 – Hit the bar right before the break. It looked better on the left than on the right. He tried to take on his man at times.
Rasmus Hojlund 6 – Outstanding center-forward play to earn the penalty. I had another chance, but Robert Sanchez denied it. His passing was not always consistent.
Substitutes: Amad Diallo – 5 Did not contribute as much attacking impetus as he typically does from the bench. Needs to start games.
Victor Lindelof 5 – Got United over the line.
Joshua Zirkzee 5 – A nice run, but he lost his balance and didn’t finish well.
