Synopsis
Even if he had a great start, Kyle Walker’s performances at AC Milan have drastically decreased.
The club’s concerns regarding his age and pay have prevented them from making a permanent purchase.
His recent performances have led many Milan supporters to conclude that he is not good enough to stay for the long haul.
It appears that Kyle Walker’s Italian honeymoon is ended after just ten games during his AC Milan loan. Halfway through the season, the Manchester City right-back reluctantly admitted that he was no longer fit to play for the four-time defending champions in the Premier League, meaning a new journey was ahead.
This new test was a loan stint at the legendary San Siro. As evidenced by his ability to squeeze his way into Thomas Tuchel’s first England squad, his first few games with the Rossoneri’s red and black went smoothly. The 34-year-old’s recent appearances haven’t been kind, though, as his performances now contain as many low points as great points.
Unquestionably, the former Tottenham player is among the best right-backs in Premier League history when playing at his best. But all of a sudden, it appears like he needs to put in a lot more effort to keep his career from fading
After ten games, how is Kyle Walker doing at AC Milan?
Recently, it hasn’t been as plainsailing.

Walker impressed his new fans when he initially arrived in Milan after making three starts, playing for AC Milan for four and a half hours, and going three games without a loss while giving up just two goals.
He also achieved an overall passing success percentage of more than 92% during that time, and the San Siro quickly warmed up to him thanks to his pre-game ritual. However, as they say, “what goes up must come down,” and Walker’s shape is presently expressing that hard fact.
The right-back hasn’t finished a single cross in seven Serie A games and hasn’t contributed anything to offensive transitions. He looked every bit his age as he struggled to keep up with Igor Paixao in his Champions League debut against Feyenoord.
Without a doubt, Walker’s performances have declined since his quick start. He only played 45 minutes (this time off the bench) in the loss to Lazio and was substituted out at halftime in AC Milan’s 1-0 victory over Hellas Verona. Sempre Milan rated him as a 4.5/10 player in his most recent game, a 2-1 loss to Napoli, writing:
Even though Milan had a high line at the time, he was undoubtedly at fault for the second goal after Buongiorno’s full run, which put Lukaku onside. The defending as a whole was also subpar. A significant error for a player with his level of experience. After a few strong forward runs, he struggled to make accurate crosses.
The more I see that Lukaku goal, the more I fail to understand why Walker keeps running to keep him onside. The centerbacks stop, Lukaku ends up offside but then Walker plays him back on. It's not the sort of mistake you expect from experienced players.

AC Milan Undecided on Whether to Buy Walker Permanently
His fans are becoming increasingly frustrated by his mistakes
Rumour has it that in June, AC Milan will finalise Walker’s contract. In an interview with Fabrizio Romano, Spanish writer Matteo Moretto stated that, despite what is circulating from a number of Italian news sources, the 34-year-old’s redemption by Milan in June remains uncertain and currently on standby. Given Walker’s age and pay (he should receive €4.5M in the event of redemption), Milan is considering his future.
🚨 Despite what’s filtering from several Italian news outlet, Kyle Walker’s redemption by Milan in June is not certain and is on stand-by at the moment.

Supporters of AC Milan, on the other hand, appear to be much more definite of their opinions and feelings regarding the right-back since they believe he is not good enough to stay for the long run. According to one X user, “Kyle Walker should not be bought under any circumstances,”
“Old, he makes inexcusable blunders considering his experience, he lacks composure and leadership, he is paid a lot, etc. After playing well in his first two games, he never performed well again. He would move to Arabia if he didn’t sign with Milan.
The following was stated by another user: “Making Emerson Royal look better in attack was a tough task, but the Englishman has managed to do it,” while the third said, “Milan shouldn’t buy him, his age is a big problem.”
