It’s important to remember that Zirkzee and Davies were teammates on the Bayern Munich II squad in the 2018–19 season as they tried to break into the starting lineup.
Zirkzee had arrived from Feyenoord’s youth setup, while Davies had travelled from Vancouver. Zirkzee had to take a more diversion to reach the top, whilst the former made his breakthrough and is currently regarded as one of the best left-backs in the world.
After two great years at Bologna and numerous loans while playing for Bayern, he ultimately set himself the goal of leaving the team for more regular games, and he has accomplished. Now, he is at United.
The key addition for Man United
Zirkzee will surely be joined by additional players from the market by Manchester United, but judging by their performance in the previous campaign, Zirkzee may end up being their most significant addition.
