‘He’s perfect’ – Chelsea urged to re-sign former player on free transfer

During his time at Chelsea, Joe Cole, a former winger, expressed his desire for the Blues to acquire Kevin De Bruyne for a second time.

It was recently reported that the great player from Belgium would be leaving Manchester City at the conclusion of this season, bringing an end to a spectacular ten-year stint with the club.

During his 414 appearances, he has scored 106 goals and assisted on 176 occasions, leaving Chelsea to have to live with the sorrow of letting him go in 2014.

Between the years 2012 and 2013, De Bruyne was a member of the west London club, however he only made nine appearances during that period.

During the 2012 season, the midfielder was loaned out to Werder Bremen, a German club, where he performed well in 36 appearances, scoring 20 goals and providing 20 assists.

After that, in January of 2014, the Bundesliga club Wolfsburg paid £18 million to acquire De Bruyne.

While he was playing for Wolfsburg, he was able to win both the German Cup and the Super Cup. Additionally, he received the title for player of the year in the Bundesliga in 2015 with his outstanding individual accomplishments.

In the same year, he signed a contract with Manchester City that cost them £54.5 million.

With a total of six Premier League championships, five Carabao Cups, two FA Cups, and a Champions League, the 33-year-old footballer is certainly one of the most accomplished players in the history of Manchester City.

Also, Cole is of the opinion that De Bruyne has the potential to become the “perfect” player for Chelsea.

According to what he stated, “If I were Chelsea and I were sitting around with them [the board], I would say, ‘We need experienced players.'”

Even if he has had some injuries, we are able to manage him because of the positive impact he has on the locker room as a winner and as a leader. We may only need him for thirty games during the season.

Imagine him entering through the door next to those young guys and the challenging situations that they were experiencing. “Whatever you want, we’ll write it off,” is what I would reply in response. Join us for a period of two years and play for us.

Despite speculation that he would go to the Major League Soccer (MLS) or Saudi Arabia, De Bruyne has not ruled out the possibility of remaining in the Premier League.

The fact that he was able to demonstrate that he is still very talented despite his age was demonstrated by his performance during Man City’s comeback victory over Crystal Palace, which was 5-2.

In addition to assisting Mateo Kovacic in taking the lead, he was the one who scored the opening goal for Manchester City by striking a free kick from 25 yards out that hit the post.

After City’s victory over Palace, De Bruyne gave an interview to TNT Sports in which he stated, “It’s been a difficult year, having a hernia wasn’t fun, but now I’ve been pain-free for the last six weeks and that’s a massive difference – playing with pain or not.”

But now I have a sense of freedom, I am able to put in a lot of work, and I believe that I am capable of doing a decent job.

“I have no idea what is going to take place, but I truly want to continue playing, so we will see where I can end up,” she said.

It is difficult for me to predict how I will feel since I have been in this location for such a long time; my family has been here for ten years; my children were born in Manchester and have spent their whole lives here.

As far as they are concerned, it is going to be something different. I believe that they are experiencing a mixture of fear and excitement; yet, it is a bit of a mystery because we do not know what is going to take place at this very time.

On the other hand, I want to have fun and play terrific football like I did today, and I’ll be OK about everything else. If I am able to play football and my family is content, then I am doing well.

The team coached by Enzo Maresca has been going through a rough patch this season as they compete for a spot in the Champions League, a competition that they have not participated in since the year 2023 for the first time.
