Diogo Jota’s death was disclosed to MPs in the Houses of Parliament in an emotional moment.
Jota, a Liverpool player, died in a car crash in Spain on Thursday morning.
According to zamora24horas, the 28-year-old and his brother and another footballer, Andre, were engaged in a deadly accident in Zamora, northwest Spain.
His death comes only weeks after he married his childhood girlfriend, and his sad final social media post has surfaced in the aftermath of his loss.
According to local officials, two young individuals died in an accident on the A-52 (Palacios de Sanabria).
“The Rionegro del Puente Fire Station (Northern Zone of the @DiputacionZA Consortium) has responded.”
“The truck caught fire, and the flames spread across the vegetation.
“They were 28 and 26 years old.” RIP.”
Liverpool issued a statement following the loss of their star forward.

Jota’s death was also revealed in the Houses of Parliament, with Secretary of State for Culture, Media, and Sport Lisa Nandy paying respect to the Portuguese.
She stated, “We just received the heartbreaking news a moment ago that he tragically died at the age of 28.” I believe the entire house is grieved by this news, and I wanted to express our condolences to his friends and family on their behalf.”

Jota joined Liverpool from Wolves in the summer of 2020 and has made 182 appearances in all competitions, scoring 65 goals.
Liverpool’s statement read: “Liverpool Football Club is devastated by the tragic death of Diogo Jota.”
“The club has been notified that the 28-year-old died in a road traffic accident in Spain, together with his brother Andre.
“Liverpool FC will make no further comment at this time and ask that the privacy of Diogo and Andre’s family, friends, teammates, and club personnel be respected as they try to cope with an incomprehensible tragedy.
“We will continue to provide them with our full support.”
