According to Ruud van Nistelrooy, the medical staff at Manchester United is engaged in a battle to ensure that Amad is medically healthy for the Premier League match against Leicester City on Sunday.
The interim manager expressed his “hope” that the player will be able to participate in the game during the pre-match press conference.
“Amad was evaluated; we are currently in the process of preparing him for Sunday. With any luck, it will be successful. Kobbie is also making progress with his injury; he is taking the necessary steps.” However, he has not yet joined the team. Van Nistelrooy stated, “He requires additional time.”
He also commented on other injuries:
“We received a significant amount of benefit from Christian’s 30-minute stint with Ugarte and Mason’s first-time appearance. I am delighted that they are back and that Luke and Leny will be on the field for an extended period.”
The Dutchman was inquired as to whether he would experience any emotional distress as he concludes his interim tenure as team manager.
“I am pragmatic, but I am also proud to fulfill this obligation; I am uncertain whether it will be emotional.” We will observe my emotional state on Sunday; there is not much else to report. Ruben and I are currently concentrating on our respective teams and sports.
When asked if he has the desire to return to the role of manager, he responded:
I believe that the desire to expand this organization is more robust than that of the other entity [administration]. I have made a conscious decision to assume this role for two seasons and then proceed from there, as I previously stated. This sentiment has not been altered by these four contests. That is why I stated from the outset that my intentions were, following my interim position.
“I thoroughly considered this matter upon my arrival as assistant manager.” I was aware that my arrival at Manchester United was a unique occasion, and I was eager to contribute to this endeavor as an assistant. I am still in the same frame of mind, and I have signed a two-year contract as an assistant. I have distinct ambitions to manage.
The subsequent inquiry was regarding the advice he would provide to the new manager, Ruben Amorim.
“It is a valid inquiry,” he replied. “I have been in this position for three months, and this brief period is a good opportunity to conclude the matter.” I will begin to contemplate this issue, as it is a valid one.
