Harry Kane, the captain of England, has already disclosed his thoughts regarding his decision to join Liverpool, following the publication of shocking reports regarding the forward’s future.
As a result of his departure from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023, Kane, who is now 31 years old, has been the subject of speculation regarding the possibility of a return to the Premier League.
One of the reasons for his departure would have been his desire to win a trophy, which he has not yet accomplished despite the fact that Bayern is currently in the final eight of the Champions League and is in the lead in the Bundesliga by six points.
When he was interviewed by L’Equipe in October 2024, he shared the Gerd Muller Trophy with Kylian Mbappe, which is awarded for the most goals scored in a single year. He also provided an explanation as to why he left England.
“This trophy validates my career choice, that of leaving my country for the first time at the age of 30,” Kane stated in his statement.
“I’m hoping to come back perhaps to win an even more prestigious one,” he joked in reference to the 2025 Ballon d’Or, which he is one of the favourites to win. “I’m hoping to come back.”
Kane will likely finish as the top goal scorer in both the Champions League and the Bundesliga if the Bavarians are successful in achieving the double. This recognition will be beneficial to Kane’s pursuit of the coveted prize.
On the other hand, if the most recent reports are to be believed, he might be playing for a different club on the afternoon of October 27th, when the ceremony is scheduled to take place in Paris, France.
Kane is reportedly “seriously considering” returning to the Premier League ahead of the 2025/26 season with the intention of “closing out his career” in England, as reported by the Spanish news outlet El Nacional.
It is said that Arne Slot’s Liverpool are the most likely candidates to acquire his services. To what extent, however, has Kane discussed the possibility of leaving Munich?
It was reported by the German news outlet BILD that Kane’s contract included a ‘exit’ clause that would allow him to leave the six-time Champions League champions if he so desired. The clause would be worth £64 million this summer and £54 million the following winter.
This was brought to his attention by a reporter following Bayern’s victory over Werder Bremen in February, which Bayern won 3-0.
During an interview with Sky Germany, Kane stated, “What I can say is that I’m very happy at FC Bayern.”
I have no comment regarding the clause.
At the beginning of this year, Kane expressed his feelings to FIFA, saying, “I’ve only been here for 18 months, but I feel like it’s been a huge part of my life already.”
“The fan base has been really incredible for me and has really taken me in, almost as if I were one of their own, and I really appreciate that,” she said. When you are playing for a club like Bayern Munich, the pressure is high, every game is intense, and a lot of teams want to beat Bayern in order to have that on their resume, so you have to be prepared at every moment.
“I couldn’t be happier. The current season is going well for me, both with the team and with the coach. We are currently playing some really good football, and it is always a pleasure to be a part of that as well.
