Hansi Flick ‘drops and fines’ Barcelona player over ‘heated exchange’ as worrying details emerge

Due to the fact that he arrived late to a pre-match team talk, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick was involved in a very heated argument with one of the players.

Flick has been a rather cool customer ever since he started working at Barcelona at the beginning of the season. With the German always looking composed on the sidelines, Flick has been enjoying his new position.

In the aftermath of games, Flick is frequently seen showing his players a great deal of affection by embracing them as they leave the pitch. However, behind the scenes, he can play a very different character.

According to a report that was published not too long ago, Flick is a very strict disciplinarian who expects nothing less than complete dedication from his team.

Flick’s high expectations have allegedly resulted in multiple altercations, with Jules Kounde receiving his full wrath prior to the club’s match against Rayo Vallecano, according to Mundo Deportivo, a Spanish media outlet.

Due to the fact that Kounde had arrived late for a crucial pre-match team talk at the Torre Melina Gran Melia hotel, Flick was required to wait at the entrance while the rest of the squad was seated inside.

It was reported that the German coach slammed the door and yelled at the Frenchman upon his arrival. As a result, the Frenchman was removed from the starting eleven positions in order to establish his authority over the team.

In addition, the report indicates that the defender was probably penalised for his tardiness in arriving at court.

This has not been an isolated incident; Kounde, who is now 26 years old, also showed up late in the months of October and November, which also led to him being dropped from the team.

Following the second incident, Flick made the following statement in November: “When I say 13:30 hours, it is neither 13:29 hours nor 13:31 hours.”

A couple of meetings are scheduled for us to attend before the game. The presence of the players is of the utmost importance, and it is not exceedingly difficult to arrive at the designated time. It’s about showing respect for the people you work with.

“Arriving late, even by a minute, is a lack of respect for your teammates,” he further pointed out.
