Even though Barcelona won La Liga, their 2-0 victory over Espanyol left manager Hansi Flick incensed with his own team.
With two games remaining, Barca knew going into the evening that they needed three points to win the league.
A significant incident outside the RCDE Stadium, involving a white car colliding with a crowd of onlookers, took front stage during the first half of the game.
Spanish medical authorities reported 13 injuries, four of which were classified as being in a “less serious condition.”
After a brief halt after eight minutes to give the referee time to speak with the authorities, the game resumed two minutes later.
Lamine Yamal’s incredible 20-yard goal into the top corner gave Barcelona the lead over their closest rivals in the second half.
Then, in the fifth minute of stoppage time, the 17-year-old assisted Fermin Lopez to make it 2-0.
Players and technical staff from both sides engaged in a large-scale altercation at the RCDE Stadium right after the final whistle.
When Barca manager Flick arrived at the stadium, he was obviously upset with his team. The German was even observed pushing two of his players in the direction of the tunnel.

Two years ago, Les Cules also won La Liga at Espanyol, although the triumph was preceded by far more repulsive sights than those that took place on Thursday night.
In addition to clashes between the two teams’ players, Espanyol supporters stormed the pitch and confronted Barca players.
Flick told reporters in Spain prior to Thursday’s match: “I watched what happened two years ago on TV. Always treat others with respect, no matter what. After you battle for the three points, we’ll act morally.”
