Arsenal is preparing for the final three games of the Premier League season, knowing that a victory would only come if Manchester City falters in the final stretch.
With three games remaining in the Premier League season, Arsenal is leading the way, but they are expecting to fall painfully short of winning the championship.
With 35 games played, the Gunners lead the table with 80 points, but Mikel Arteta’s team still has a match against rival Manchester City. Ironically, Arsenal’s bitter rivals Tottenham will be the opponent in the upcoming match.
Despite scoring his team’s third goal, Kai Havertz has drawn criticism from club legend Emmanuel Adebayor as Arteta’s team managed to defeat Spurs 3-2 on Sunday. That explosion occurs at the same time that Ian Wright was praising Havertz’s teammate Ben White.
And as the run-in heats up, City’s star striker Erling Haaland has issued a dire warning to the Gunners. Mirror Football compiles all of the most recent Arsenal news here.
Adebayor blasts Havertz
Despite Kai Havertz’s excellent play for Mikel Arteta’s team, former Arsenal player Emmanuel Adebayor has disparaged the attacker. Despite Havertz’s 13 goals this season, Adebayor doesn’t think he meets the high expectations at the Gunners.
“He has adjusted well, but to be honest, I don’t really like the player. He lacks strength, which is a problem when you play up front for a team like Arsenal. You need to be strong and intelligent first and foremost, he informed Premier League Productions.
“In the game of football, you are the hero when you score and the villain when you don’t.” The supporters won’t be pleased if he doesn’t score and Arsenal loses.”
Ben White, who played a key role in Arsenal’s victory over Tottenham, has been dubbed the “thinking man’s s***house” by Arsenal legend Ian Wright. Wright was thrilled with White’s role of disrupting Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario in the build-up to their third goal.
“Ben White had a stunning s***housery. It’s best to say that he’s the thinking man’s s***house. Vicario told the Wrighy’s House podcast, “The way he got upset was f*****g brilliant; he went straight to 100 and all he did was try to undo his gloves.”
“Ben White is a s***house for thinking men. Everyone should be aware that Ben White will f**k around with the opposition goalkeeper in the final three games. It is really bad for Tottenham to give up two goals without anyone spotting our s***house.”
Haaland issues ominous warning
As the season nears its conclusion, Erling Haaland has issued a warning to Arsenal, saying that he is healthy and ready to go again. The Manchester City forward has had a season marred by injuries, but he has now assured his team’s rivals for the league that he is back to his best.
“As a football player, this could be the most exciting time ever. Few people can really relate, but that’s one of the reasons I play football: the anxious feeling you get before a game. I love football because of these feelings, which is why I think this is fantastic,” he remarked.
“A lot of these guys have done it before; the key is to remain calm and control your desires.” I’ve been itching to return, and I feel good about it now that I’m here. I’m prepared to take on the remaining five finals.
