We can all see from His performance today that He is not a guy who should be benched for anyone. If He keeps up this level of play, I might give Him a starting role shortly. The only untouchable Arsenal player in the team is revealed by Mikel Arteta. Not Martinelli, not Partey

In the North London Derby, Arsenal defeated Tottenham with a close 1-0 victory. The absence of Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard proved to be a major factor in the Gunners’ poor start to the game. Dominic Solanke, Cristian Romero, and Dejan Kulusevski all gave Spurs opportunities, but David Raya held fast.

It appeared that Arsenal’s best option, lacking much midfield control, would be to counterattack, and both Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli came dangerously near. Despite this, the game stayed heated and abrasive, with seven yellow cards shown in the first half alone.

The close match persisted into the second half, but Gabriel’s header from Bukayo Saka’s inch-perfect corner gave Arsenal the lead in the end.

David Raya: Made a number of outstanding saves early in the game to preserve the score at zero. stayed concentrated as Spurs poured shots into the goal. demonstrated his worth once more on his 29th birthday. 7.

Ben White: Ben had a difficult afternoon since Son Heung-min was always beating him. There were also a few careless giveaways on the ball. didn’t appear to be moving as much as usual. 5.

William Saliba: Occasionally found it difficult to work with Dominic Solanke. solidly protected overall, though. As decent as ever on the ball. 6.

Gabriel: Made block after block as Arsenal was facing pressure at times. like playing these complex defensive games a lot. appeared and scored the goal with a fantastic run and header as well. 8.

Jurrien Timber: It’s absurd that there were hints that he could have been substituted out during the first half. demonstrated the tenacity needed for this match and was seldom defeated by Johnson. 7.

Thomas Partey: Generally decent when playing from the back. The fact that Rice’s legs weren’t beside him during this double pivot slightly revealed his lack of mobility. 6.

Jorginho: At times, it was evident how immobile he was. Kulusevski turned quite easily a couple times. It’s just not his style to be asked to high press. Though it seems unfair to penalise him because he was contributing to the team, he performs best as a lone pivot. 5.

Bukayo Saka: This season, Saka has contributed a goal or an assist in each of his games for Arsenal. He had Gabriel covered like a pro. the day-to-day variation. 8.

Gabriel Martinelli: His rushing down the left put him in some favourable positions, but his decision-making still needs work. Havertz made a fantastic cross that might have resulted in an assist on a different day. 6.

Kai Havertz: As Arsenal tried to find a way out of the Tottenham pressure, they displayed some outstanding hold-up play. In the latter third, there was also good quality on the ball. 7.

Leandro Trossard: Occasionally a little slow with the ball. Not the decisive guy he usually is in the last third. shown some effective ball handling during build-up, though. 6.
